YREC STUDENT & FAMILY UPDATE
WEEK 5: SEPTEMBER 22 - SEPTEMBER 26, 2025
Growing Strong Together!
Dear YREC Families and Amazing Students,
Welcome to Week 5! We can't believe how quickly time has flown since we started our journey together on August 25th. Your students have shown incredible growth, and we're excited to share what's happening this week.
šÆ IMPORTANT: INTERIM REPORTS THIS WEEK
What Are Interims? Think of interim reports as a "check-in" halfway through the quarter. They show how your student is doing right now and help us work together to ensure success by the end of the quarter.
Key Dates:
This Week (Sept 22-26): Teachers are reviewing and finalizing interim grades
Monday, September 30th: Interim reports will be mailed home
How to Use Your Student's Interim Report:
š¹ For Families:
Look for patterns: Which subjects are going well? Which need extra support?
Celebrate the positives first - acknowledge your student's hard work!
For challenging areas, ask: "How can we work together to improve this?"
Contact teachers with questions - they want to help!
š¹ For Students:
Remember: This is NOT your final grade - it's your chance to improve!
If you're struggling, ask for help from teachers, tutors, or Academic Coaching (Room 114)
If you're doing well, keep up the great work and maybe help a classmate!
Use this as motivation to finish the quarter strong
š” Remember: Every interim grade comes with a plan for success. We believe in every single student's ability to grow and achieve!

⨠A MESSAGE FROM PRINCIPAL JONES
"Week 5 is proving that our YREC family is truly special. Your students are growing not just academically, but as leaders, thinkers, and caring community members. The interim reports this week are just one snapshot of their journey - what matters most is that they're developing the skills and character that will serve them for life.
To our students: You are capable of amazing things. When challenges come, remember that you have a whole team of people supporting you. Never hesitate to ask for help - that's what strong, smart people do!
To our families: Thank you for trusting us with your most precious gifts. Your partnership makes all the difference in your student's success."
